Fiji to Host 2017 Rugby Women’s World Cup after Ireland Pulled Out | BREAKING

Fiji has been given the nod to host the 2017 Rugby Women’s World Cup after Ireland pulled out from hosting the tournament, World Rugby has confirmed.

The Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) pulled out of hosting the tournament citing several issues in a letter sent to World Rugby. After a series of deliberations, Fiji was chosen to host the tournament for the first time.

A financial package of 146 million dollars will be allocated to the Fiji Rugby Union to develop the current facilities to match up to the hosting of the tournament.
