British High Commission has finally cleared the air about news that recently broke out that Filipinos could travel to the United Kingdom without visa.
“No, the UK is not visa-free,” Monica Cantillero, the new UK Embassy media and information officer, said in a short statement issued Tuesday to debunk the news.
However, latest information picked up from the British High Commission in Manila confirms although the waiver has been approved, Filipinos who decide to travel to the United Kingdom needs to produce Police Report covering a period 10 years. The report needs to be certified by an officer at the Embassy who would be stationed at the Security Post at the Embassy in Manila before travelling.
The Embassy has promised to release documented guidelines to be able to access the waiver in the first week of November.
