Paul Manafort has resigned as Donald Trump’s campaign chairman, days after the GOP presidential hopeful brought in Breitbart News’ Steve Bannon as campaign CEO.
It is widely speculated that the appointment of Bannon as head of campaign and Kellyanne as campaign manager by Trump pushed Manafort to resign his post. However, deep throat sources revealed the former campaign chairman have a long standing battle with Trump. He had asked Trump several times to learn public mannerisms especially his hand gestures which has fallen on deaf ears.
“I am very appreciative for his great work in helping to get us where we are today and in particular his work guiding us through the delegate and convention process,” Trump said in a statement. “Paul is a true professional and I wish him the greatest success.”
